Everyone goes through life finding what they are skilled at and searching for answers about where they need to be in life.
We are trained to go to college, get a job, have a family, and then retire. Although this path isn’t for everyone, it is a route that most people must take or are forced to take even if it isn’t what they really want to do. And to be honest, the majority of the people in this world are not where they want to be in life and they never take the steps to find out where they are supposed to be.
On the other hand, you do have those that take a leap of a faith and become self-employed, entrepreneurs, etc. and they find what it is that they were really born to do.
What if we all took the leap of faith to find what it is we were really born to do?
What if we all created our dream job so that we can be happy, not put a cap on our earning potential, and spend more time with family?
From my personal experience, this is all possible! And to all of the other entrepreneurs that are reading this, I am sure you agree!
Let me tell you, finding your inner self isn’t easy and can be very time-consuming. But there is a way to still make it happen. First, start with what you’re good at and what you like to do. Once you gather that information, brainstorm and research how to make that hobby and that skillset a business. What service can you provide to others using what you are good at and what you already know how to do?
Next, determine, how can that service be of value to a potential customer?
See, what did I tell you, that isn’t so bad is it? There are many things needed to get a business up and started but it is very possible. Being an entrepreneur requires hard work, dedication, persistence, and drive.
For me personally, being an Online Business Manager is one of the best decisions that I’ve made not only for my family, but for me also. When my daughter was born, I made a decision that I wanted financial freedom and I wanted to spend more time with my family. After 1 short year, I made my dream a reality and although this has been one of the hardest years of my life, I have gained a ton of value.
I’ll leave you with 3 steps that have gotten me where I am today. And I hope that once you make the decision that you want to be happy and make money doing what makes you happy, that these 3 steps can help you get there.
Have a vision.
Your vision starts with a thought, a dream, or an idea. There are no special powers or classes to take for this. This simply comes from within and can come at any random time. When you least expect it, it’ll happen, and that gives you the gateway to start creating your vision! Having a vision is important because it plays a huge role in setting your foundation for your business. Believe it and you’ll achieve it.
Sacrifice for that vision.
Sacrifice is defined as surrendering for the sake of something else. If you are not familiar with this term or have never sacrificed before, saddle up and get ready for the ride.
Sacrifice doesn’t come easy nor is it given. It is a good chance that you will have to give up and sacrifice many things in your personal life to get your business started and succeed at your dream job. That favorite TV show you watch every week may have to get cut. Hanging out with your friends on the weekend may have to get cut. Gaining that extra hour of sleep may have to get cut.
These are just examples, but you get the point. As much as family and friends say they support you on your new business venture, they are not the ones putting in the work to make the magic happen so keep that in mind. It is your job to stay focused and to block out any distractions that won’t help you reach your end goal.
Take strides toward that vision through any and everything.
You will have goals. Short Term. Long Term. Quarterly. Yearly. Monthly. Weekly. Daily.
One of the best practices is to focus on ONE thing at a time, and focus on ONE goal at a time so that you won’t become discombobulated. If you focus on too many things at once, the end goal becomes cloudy and you become very overwhelmed. It doesn’t matter the length of stride you take, as long as you are taking steps forward.
If you focus on too many things at once, the end goal becomes cloudy and you become very overwhelmed. It doesn’t matter the length of stride you take, as long as you are taking steps forward. Share on XYou won’t always reach every goal (TRUST ME) so don’t get disappointed or discouraged, keep pushing to reach the next goal and have the drive and the desire for success and you should have no problems with being successful!
These 3 steps have been great tools for me when I envisioned having a business up to the point of bringing it to life and then maintaining it once I set everything up. Essentially you can create your own steps and use these as a foundation, whatever it takes for you to be successful.

These are amazing tips! Gosh I wish I had that courage to just jump and do it, but I’ve got too many things holding me back especially now when money is a bit tight. Might need to save up a bit more 🙂

Its a good reminder for me. I have had my blog for about 8 months. I thought it would be further along. It can be disappointing when things are not as far along as you imagined but I am in this for the long haul. I have to remember that. The goal is still ahead of me and the sacrifices will pay off.
Whitney Kutch says
Yes they will!!! Even if you set aside time to write just a little at a time you will get there. The only pace you have to focus on is forward.

That’s a great way to find your ideal job! Sometimes we loose our focus or just get lost in this modern world. Wonderful reading and guest post!
Whitney Kutch says
Very true! Sometimes we have “those days” but if we keep our main focus alive it will all come!

This is great! I think intimidation holds a lot of people back from creating the career and job life they want. I was one of those people until a lay off pushed me out of the nest and forced me to go in the direction of my dreams. It’s definitely a struggle, but it’s also worth it.
Whitney Kutch says
You are so right about this! Sometimes we get really comfortable in our nest. That push may be uncomfortable but I cant wait to see how you grow from it.

Just JUMP!!!! One thing a mentor said to me once when I was at a crossroad was, “what are you afraid of? You have a safety net to catch you but you may just end up flying”
