12 days of Christmas

These are my favorite (officially observed) 12 days of Christmas:

1.) December 1st: National Day Of Giving #GivingTuesdayWe stuff our faces with turkey, then shop our wallets off on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  And, let’s not fool ourselves that every single one of those purchases are for others.  Hence, a day to actually give back.  Whether to a charity, church, or even a friend in need; plus, tax write offs for 2015 end soon.

2.) December 2cd: National Mutt Day #NationalMuttDay

3.) December 4th: National Cookie Day #NationalCookieDay

My mom recently brought me these Sister2Sister cookies from Tyler.  They’re slogan says it all: “It’s not just a cookie, it’s an experience.”  If you are trying to butter up a boss, or share your sweet tooth with another cookie lover-these will do the trick!

4.) December 5th: Bathtub Party Day #BathtubPartyDay

I love taking baths. Remember this post?

5.) December 6th: National Microwave Oven Day #MicrowaveOvenDayI don’t cook (often).  Nuking or delivery doesn’t just come once a year for me.  Only seems suitable to honor thy method of cooking and praise Percy Spencer for inventing the Microwave in 1945!

6.) December 7th: National Cotton Candy Day #NationalCottonCandyDayIntroduced at the 1904 World’s Fair as “Fairy Floss”.  Ironic since the sugar filled delight has caused zillions of cavities over the century.  Dentists rejoice!

7.) December 10th: Nobel Prize Day #AlbertEinsteinHe won in 1921 and, and he is the most brilliant man in history, 2cd to Jesus.  He gets his own hashtag.

8.) December 14th: Monkey Day #CuriousGeorgeCurious George was my nickname b/c I asked a million questions.  He gets his own hashtag too.

9.)  December 17th: National Regifting day #NationalRe-GiftingDayThis day was chosen because it is the most common day for companies to hold their annual cheesy parties.  I’m assuming White Elephant seems to be a hit.

10.) December 18th: Answer the Phone like Buddy the Elf Day #AnswerthePhoneLikeBuddytheElfDay

Simply answer the phone and say “(Insert your Name) the Elf, what’s your favorite color”.

11.) December 24th: National Egg Nog Day #NationalEggNogDayFollow directions and drink.

12.) CHRISTMAS! duh. #ChristmasDuh
