I LOVE the holidays, and nothing gets me merrier than trying on holiday party looks. Fall and winter hold some of my favorite cozy memories – the lights during a carriage ride, the togetherness during family meals, and laughing at Buddy the Elf with a good hot toddy. But it’s also the most festive time of year with holiday parties, Christmas celebrations, and let’s not forget about New Years soirées! I’m here to get you in the party mood as I try on some holiday cocktail looks at Neiman Marcus.

I get so excited to plan out my holiday looks, and enjoy picking out all the details to create the perfect outfit with a party vibe. I’m anything but basic (some would say a little over the top), so I chose three holiday party looks that are very unique. I can promise you this: no one will be wearing the same thing, so you won’t have to worry about “who wore it best?”
I fell in love with all of them equally, and so did the responders to my recent Instagram poll. What I want to know is: Which look do YOU love most? Drop me a comment and let me know what you can see yourself wearing and WHERE you would go!
The first piece was a Black Halo Audrey Pinstriped Velvet Halter Jumpsuit. It was the perfect fit and had just the right about of shine for a holiday dinner or party. The bow detail at the neck gave it a little sweetness to offset the edgy vibe. Did I mention how comfortable this was? I can see myself dancing the night away in this look. Another thing I love is that I won’t get cold in this outfit since it’s a jumpsuit.
My second dress was a totally different concept than I’m used to. This Anais Jourden Lace Confetti Ruffled Tunic-Dress is edgy but still formal. I loved the overstated, high-low, ruffle skirt with lace sleeve details. The dress has a lot going on, but all of the details work together to make the perfect combination of edgy and chic. I could imagine myself at a holiday cocktail party walking down a grand staircase. This pairs perfectly with any black pump, which add a classic touch to this unique piece.
The third look I tried on was the Katie May Boss Lady Mini Cape Dress. I loved this piece because it’s formal, but can transition to party. I could see myself wearing this to a meeting, changing shoes, and going to a holiday cocktail party after. The attached cape makes it perfect for the colder months because you don’t need to cover this stunning dress with a jacket. You could really add any color heel to change the feeling of this dress, too. Hello multi-functional closet staples!
So what are your thoughts on these holiday looks? Let me know in the comments because I can’t pick just one favorite. These looks, along with nude and black Loubitons, are all available for your holiday events in-store and online at Neiman Marcus!
